I watch the sun-faded landscape
I watch the sun-faded landscape
through black-barred eyes
a hill as gray and smooth as those in my dreams
under a different sun than we have at home.
I am too ordinary for all this.
Is it dazzled by itself?
or does it live in simple unaware
the way you do?
this must be love;
things make sense when I'm with you.
the sun wipes my vision
so I close my eyes,
content to fuel daydreams of you.
